I have a Abu Alphamar 12, and my question is can I lube the carbontex drag washer without fear of messing up something else? The drag is smooth, but compared to my Makaira 20SE, it is lacking some. Thanks for the help.

Carbon fiber drag washers -- all of them -- benefit from a light coat of pure teflon drag grease. Th only two brands I have used are Shimano and Cal's.

Thanks. I have a tub of Cals just didn't know if it was a good idea or not.
