How much drag can it produce? Is it enough for 40/50 lbs test line braid?

Alan uses 65# braid on his CS551.  I think he said not to exceed 18# of drag or you could strip the gears.

i had an 80 pound yellowfin on the hook with a great white circling the boat looking for a meal.  i cranked down on the drag to bring him in and measured the drag when i was done.  the reel scaled out a 15 pounds.  that was enough to damage the main and pinion gear.
