Title: Where to buy parts for Diawa Sealine-X 20 SHA
Post by: Pescador on June 18, 2012, 04:25:50 PM
I never had any problems buying parts for Penn reels, but I am having a really difficult time buying a drive shaft F97-4301 for a Sealine X 20SHA.  Anybody have any good reccomendations.

You're getting what you deserve for pulling away from Penn ;D.

Actually, it is funny that you should mention that.  I bought the Diawa because I needed something light to make bait with in the mornings where I live in Baja Mexico and it worked like a charm with the fast retreive and straight Spectra.  But, about 3 months or so the reel just quit working and when I took it apart the Drive Shaft on the main spool was sheared off.  So I bought a Penn Squall in the 12 size and while it does not reel quite as well due to no offset on the reel handle, it at least holds up to the rigors of making bait.

AM,
No sir I did not.  All of them got priced way beyond my range.  I am NOT going to pay $350 for a frame.  That's not reasonable.

Two e-mails, one phone call, and the result?  0 parts.  Guess I need to throw it away and use the Squall.

You can try Fisherman's Warehouse at 916-368-1200.  You can order parts and they will mail them to you.  That is what we do.

Some parts, they have to go to Daiwa, and could take a couple of weeks.
