Title: Shimano Citica 200 D - Braking system
Post by: Nitro on June 23, 2012, 06:26:52 PM
I realize this isn't a "reel" expensive model.  This reel used to cast a country mile.  Yet, the braking systen is driving me crazy.  Normally, I cast with only one collar up leaving the other 5 blocking the brake.  So giving it a hard throw, some of the other collars slide outward engaging the brake even more.  I'd love to just leave all the brakes down, but I'm not that good yet.

Has anybody else had this issue?

That is the way the braking system works. You may want to remove half of the blocks (every other one) and try that.
