Title: cal's grease viscosity
Post by: kenwahoo on June 24, 2012, 05:32:45 AM
I have Cal's normal grease, tan and can feel how thick it is. I'll like to know what the viscosity of the purple one is. Can someone measure this and let us all know. I know it is not as thick but how much less is it?

It's a lot thinner.  I don't know how to measure viscosity, but it's like butter when you leave it out and it's at room  temperature.

Sounds thinner than the tan one, is it?

Yes. The purple is much thinner.

MUCH THINNER, regular Cal's starts to solidify around 30°, Cal's light much colder.   Both work when tested at -5° but the regular grabed at first.  Once broken loose both acted similar.  I am now using Cal's lite for all of the winter steelhead and springer reels I service.
