Title: Protecting reels in storage
Post by: john2244 on July 08, 2012, 10:21:12 PM
I have several Penn reels on display and most of them I will not use for fishing.  I live near the ocean
and feel I should put something on them to help protect them from the elements.  I am considering using either Boeshield T-9 or CorrosionX on the chrome and spools and either a grease or CorrosionX on all the screws.  What do you think about using these products and do you have other recommendations ??
Thanks for your help,

John

I've used even less growing up in Hawaii with little negative effects.  I think you will be fine with waht you are doing.

Spray on corrosion x and then wipe the excess off.
