Title: Penn Senator 6/0
Post by: paul H on July 11, 2012, 12:58:27 AM
Hi.
I need to replace both side plates on my Penn Senator 6/0 which uses bushings, and found some plates of a Penn 114 6/0 (with ball bearings), but I don't know if these side plates will work on my reel. I like to make sure that my spool and clicker will work on those side plates; or any other model that shares the same parts. I'm not knowledgeable when it comes about exchange parts, and definitely could use your help.
Is there any body that could help me on this issue? I'll greatly appreciate your advice.
Paul

The plates with bearings will not work. Your spool and gears are different. The spool shaft on the 6/0 (red plates) is longer and beefier. May I ask what happened to your plates?
