Title: Penn 4/0 using 320gti/320gt2/321gti drag washers
Post by: Bryan Young on August 11, 2009, 05:21:35 AM
Hi Alan,

If I change my 4/0 drag washers to the 320gti/320gt2/321gti drag washers, as they are thinner, could I get 6 carbon washers in the stack and increase my drag pressure?  Recommended or maybe too much for the 4/0?

Thanks for your continued knowledge sharing.

Bryan

I am also interested in this particular mod Alan. Had any chance to consider the drag washer change?

Assuming the increase in drag, I'm thinking a stainless gear sleeve would be necessary if the stack does work.

in order for the drag to work, you have to have one washer under the main gear and an odd number inside.  you are looking at 1, 3, 5, or 7.  6 drag washers will behave like a stack of 5.   :-\
