Post by: Bunnlevel Sharker on July 26, 2012, 08:24:07 PM
I was cleaning the spool of the reel the other day as the gears are rusted and i salvaged the spool and the wheel on the spool that is part of the clicker is loose. Any solutions?

Clean with brake cleaner and allow to dry.  then weld, braze or JB weld it and you will be good.

you might be able to take a cold chisel and hammer and stake it into place.  just be careful......  :-\

something else you could do is just wail away at the ratchet gear and that would close up the hole a little, then tap it back onto the spool shaft.
