Title: 722 in Need of Repair
Post by: kookel on August 20, 2012, 02:26:37 AM
Hi,

New to this forum.  I have a 1st generation blue 722 (2 fish pictured on the housing plate).  The anti-reverse doesn't work.  When I switch the lever downwards, feel a little grinding and I can still reel it backwards.  What part(s) do I need -- dog, dog spring?  Also, I've no clicker tongue or the screw.

Thanks.

Thanks.  I guess it's my dog and spring that are in need of replacement?  I'll take 'er apart.

Yes.  Sorry for being color-blind, it's green:

The parts on reel that i showed you earlier in my tutorial are the same as the parts  on your reel and the Z series that Alan showed you,  the 720 is also similar.

The tutorial did the trick, much obliged!  No parts needed there.  I guess someone had not put the dog and spring back correctly.

I'm glad it was of some help to you.
I did that before, that's why I wanted to point it out.
