Title: This Washer
Post by: Harry on August 22, 2012, 04:12:23 AM
Gday, had a look at a buddys 6/0 special the other day, it is a newer model one than mine and to get to the drag stack  the reel must be dissasebled.  Anyway it had a round washer in it that was bent like this ( at the top of the stack. I would like to know if this is normal or should it be completly flat.  It is as if the star has been  tightend so much it bent the washer  , but im not sure , maybe you guys know .

Heres a few photos  of what im talkin bout.

Cheers Harry

Flip that thing over so the cone is pointing up, like your last photo.  It acts as a spring and provides a more even pressure on your drag stack.  That is a common configuration on many reels.  ;)
