i just got an e-mail from okuma because i had enquired about that reel to replace all of my daiwa line counters.   i'm going to try to get one to do a tutorial on.  the look good from the outside.  they will be available in 2 months.

Any follow up to this? This reel is getting some interest from the muskie guys up my way (including me) At around $118 this would be a pretty affordable line counter reel.

thanks

Seen posts that there is a common problem with the line counter. Accurate going out but shows a negative on the retrieve.

Any new insight into the line counter issues?  I'm thinking of picking one up for striper fishing this upcoming season.
