Title: Rod Clamp
Post by: elnath on September 19, 2012, 02:47:14 PM
I keep seeing a rod clamp that has a large ring positioned under the reel that looks like a great safety line attachment point--it's much larger ring than "normal" lateral clamp holes.  I've seen the clamps on several reels from different manufacturers, so I assume they are custom.  Anybody know what they are????

I think this is made by Penn, Part Nos. 033R114 and 33R200.  The difference is the size.

I've seen that one.  The one I'm talking about has a much larger ring (like over an inch ID).  It also looks more like a casting or potentially a machined part...

Large rclamp = larger ring. Are you talking about these? These are for the Senator 10/0 and 16/0.

Elnath - I think I've seen these. Might try a google search on Hippo Grip.
