Title: Spool spinning Trini 30A
Post by: Andre Greyling on September 29, 2012, 01:31:28 PM
What is the average time (seconds) a Trini 30A and Grandwave 50SHV spool is supposed to spin if well oiled and serviced?  I use ReelX to  oil the bearings

Thanks!

Thats a really hard thing to judge..
So many things affect it, How fast is the start up, Weight of line, etc etc..
As long as you think it is spinning for a good amount of time (say 15/20+ seconds) your probably OK (with line)...

I have spun some Oiled 50W 2 speeds that had line on.
The Spool is so heavy, once it got spinning it spun for what seemed like forever!!!
Getting it to spin took some effort it was so heavy....
Dont think casting a Sardine would have done it!!!

15 to 30 seconds if well cleaned.
