Title: ANDROS CAST CONTROL
Post by: LTM on October 05, 2012, 11:12:28 PM
Does the Andros 5-II have magnetic cast control or a friction-style cast control system. Ive heard different statements and went to web site for official info (just says cast control knob). For the money would be a nice feature like the rest of the manufacturer's.

Thanx,

Leo

Leo the Andros has magnetic cast control. Check out Marks website for a video and some info about the reel. Scroll down about half way on this page to see the video.

It definitely does NOT have magnetic cast control.  It pushes the spool in to the drag washer with the adjustment knob on the left side plate.  So yes, it is friction type.
