Post by: Redfish King on October 11, 2012, 12:39:59 AM
I just got this reel on line new.It looks awesome and feels great--11 bearings !! But Im sending back for an exchange. If you hold the spool down and turn the handle you get nasty grinding of gears. So whats wrong with this thing?

Dont laugh -- There is another little set of hands in this house. The spool was adjusted 100% to the left. I centered it up and all is well!!! Good thing Im very excited to use it !!!

Sounds like one of those JDM Rockets, The regular Pro Rocket only has 2BB + IAR, but some of those JDM:s go wild on the bearing count... :)

There are 4 bearings in the handle. The reel is purple.Im building a rod just for this reel. Black rod w/purple guide wraps metallic purple trim.It will be a while but I will post pic when complete.
