Post by: Crouts on October 12, 2012, 08:49:35 PM
so i was attempting to service my reel and i removed the left side plate, spool, and handle, with no problem, then i took out the eight screws that hold the right side plate on and it doesnt come off. did i miss a step? i dont have pics of where i left off right now since i am at work. any help would be greatly appreciated.

it could be corrosion on the inside holding the side plate on.  i have seen this on some of the toriums i have worked on pull and shake a bit and it should come off.

Tap it around the edges with the handle of a driver or soft/solid tool.
Probably just Corrosion and you need to break it loose..
They can be very stubborn at times...
