Hi everyone , new here, but been over the hill , for a while. Still go fishing at every opportunity , but have never gotten into reel repair . Don't know why , but just haven't. First love is land based shark fishing , and I can see the need to rebuild my reels , in the future. I live in north central Georgia , and divide my fishing between Ga. and Fla. Looking foreward to gathering a few smarts.
Welcome Papa-k.
There's a few keen shark fishos here (both from your neck of the woods and across the globe).
You're definitely among friends.
All the best, Justin
70+ years fishing that would make you????....almost.....antique status....or as the liberals says...in a protected age group ;D...good to have you here...welcome to the darkside...we have cookies..especially chocolate chip :D

Welcome Papa. Just goes it that you are never too young to join the reel fun.
Welcome from Texas.

welcome to Mr. Tani's neighborhood...
Welcome from Pcola.
glad you made it over. greased carbon fiber drags will really help on these big reels. smooth drags greatly reduce the chances of a breakoff. also take a look at the large kolekar handle grips in the "for sale" section. they make a huge difference as well.
