What have you learned on this board that's most helpful?  For me, there are two items.  First, Alan Tani mentioned in a post that it often took a couple tries to get a reel right the first time he worked on one.  That made me a little more patient with myself and willing to tinker with a reel a little longer until it's as good as I can make it.  Second, the procedure to sand down drag washers to fit usine a bench belt sander was great.  I just finished an Okuma Catalina where I had to take a bit off the washers to fit and that tip saved me a lot of trouble.  This site is fantastic!

For me, it's probably the fact that, despite the prevalence of self-interest in the world today, there are still people out there who are motivated by fraternity and selflessness, always willing to lend a hand and, most importantly, have a laugh ;)
Cheers lads, Justin

That most are nice enough to lend a helping hand even though the question has been asked a hundred times and point them in the right direction for the answer.
