Title: Need Help with Schematic for Shimano Bantam BM-7D
Post by: LLCC on November 05, 2012, 11:39:14 AM
Hi guys,

An old Shimano Bantam reel with model name BM-7D landed in my hands. I've yet to crack it open. The gears don't seem to mesh...

If anyone can point me to where I can find the schematics for this reel, I'd be most grateful.

Best,

LL

Have a look at this site....     http://schematics.planetseafishing.com

Found that some reels have different Model numbers, but the working parts and Part numbers are the same.

Thanks for the leads!

Here are some pics I took last night. There is a lever on the left sideplate that I've not found on the schematics that I've seen on the web.

Hopefully this will resemble something that is available in the US market.

probably the same as other old bantams i've worked on.  very nice reels.  straight in, straight out.  take your time and you should be fine!
