Title: 1 of the few parts we have made recently
Post by: Dave RI on November 13, 2012, 01:40:50 AM
I just thought i would post 1 picture if this
Ocean side 107 reel , customer brings it
In after purchasing it a yard sale , it was
Not in bad shape needed a good cleaning
And the freespool lever replaced . I took it to
Our machine shop and made a new part
Out of .062 Stainless steel , the old part is below.
The customer picked the reel up today and loves the reel and new lever
I love this type of work and with all the right tools it is easy . Thanks for looking !!

A Penn eccentric lever would have probably worked, but I like yours much better. Thanks for sharing Dave, Sal

Sal ,

I tired that 1st , but the inside was to big and the outside was to large and hit the housing , by the time i made a bushing for the inside and take down the outside to clear the housing it was just easier to make a new part . Thanks !!!

Nice work. Sometimes its much easier to order one instead of making it. Its nice to have the option though. Bob

put them in both places.  i want to make sure people see your work first of all, and can then find it later down the line.
