from my understanding they are the same reel. raw is for the american market and the salina3 the australiasian market. just a way to stop international purchases as the prices are a fair bit different.

Okuma Australia:

Okuma USA:

The USA site has schematics, not so on the other.

Looks like the Aussies don't get the 30 size equivelent, but can get high speed models that aren't offered here.

You;re welcome!

I got a 30 size Raw II....but just plan on freshwater use.  I like all metal reels.  Seems rugged and simple, has carbon drag washers: I was also able to get mine for 90 bucks, so I did very well.

Just note the line capacites on the misc reel sizes; The Raw II 30 and 40 size are a bit on the low side for saltwater, as is the Salina 3 4000 model....the larger sizes in each line are OK.

I order rod xzoga taka si 6312 (260 usd) few days ago and would pair it with Raw II 40 size for  inchiku/kabura  fishing.I will use  .21 mm 20/30 lb braid so it will have enough capacites

With using the braid, that should work and be a very nice combo!
