Here's a Phenix vertical jigger that I just finished for a buddy of mine. SiC guides, alps reel seat and some EVA grips.

I'll take you up on that offer Jon.
I'll probably swing by tomorrow Alan. Bryan, if you want, pick a rod you would want to build and I can help you do it step by step.
Excellent craftsmanship Jon, I would love to own one of those, maybe one day :-\.
Thanks for the kind words Alto. I put my heart and soul into these things.

Oops Bryan, I apologize for offering to help you build one from scratch. I wasn't aware that you built rods. My bad. But if you want to learn any of these techniques ill be more than happy to help you.
Jon, I'm smart enough to know that no matter how much I know, there is always more for me to learn. No offense bradah. It's all good. I have never wrapped a spiral rod. Maybe it's time to make a few and use up my new old stock of Loomis blanks.
Not right now Jon, but I will be in touch in the future, I need to have one of those. I just hope that they're not out of my league...price wise.
Keep up your excellent work.
Sal
Bryan, spiral is the only way to go. I seriously have never felt more in control of my tackle when hooked up than I did when I hooked my first fish on an acid rod. Let me know what you are going to be fishing for next and ill loan you a rod to try to see if you like it. Also if you would like to part with any if the loomis blanks, let me know. I need a couple bass rods for myself (mb783, mb874, mb873).
Sal, I'm pretty fair in my pricing. To give you an idea, I charged $300 to build the rod in this post. I had probably 10hrs of work in it (I don't remember exactly). All together with components, that rod cost my buddy $625 ($200ish for the blank, $35 for the seat, $75ish for the guides then another $15 for the grips and gimble).
That sounds fair Jon, 10 hours of labor of love is a long time. I will need to wait though, at the moment I'm the only one supporting my family, with kids in college.... and slowly loosing the battle :-\.
I will get back to you when things get a little better aroud here.
Thanks! Sal
No worries man. That's a tough gig you have. Props to you though for toughing it out.
