A.T. and this site made it all possible. I fixed up my original stuff and spent a lot of time on ebay buying new junk to fixup, Beings I have not been fishing I needed something to do. New drags, and anything else I find that needs it. Putting double dogs in those that I can. Planning ways to catch fish with the lever reels. Some of what I bought were in near pefect condition and some new Some of it is my newly started collection of penns. Brother has three mariners I sent him. Son has mix of some but will get the rest some day. I moved to florida and for the 1st six months started learning the territory, then I got double vision problems. If my eyes ever get better I need to do some serious fishing and get off of ebay and sites like this one... Ha..  Everything is clean Cals greased and ready to go.

I have lots more fresh water just didn't feel like getting them out of the boat that has stuff piled up on it. Bass fishing tornaments in the past I use to have 4-6 rods on the front of the boat at once... OCD much... Yea buddy.

That photo should be titled "Find the Spinning Reels."  I did and I think there are only two.  Dominick

Dobrobill, what's that custom rod by the glass, it looks like a St Croix  :-\. I see a lot of Penns, a man that knows good reels ;).

That will be a Harrington ( on right) that I lucked into. All fiberglass 9+ foot can handle over 16oz bait and weight. My first surf rod with aluminum seat..  Wanted something shorter than the heavers to play with sharks and such. If you saw my other posts about braid and lever reels that is why I was testing. Down size. Just can't cast that darn accurate as far as I would like, when I put some lead on it. Snagged a Trinidad 20 today to play with.. . Yellow in front from Hateras had handles redone years ago, Two black ones from from Key Largo. One pretty smaller one somewhere is from Black Perl Fishing.

There are 8 Spinners in the pic..

I do love the Penns, but as you can see I have been expanding lately.   The one gold shimano if you can find it is first version 700.

Great collection. I'm pretty sure I found six spinners. I didn't even put on my glasses either. ;) Bob

Hi All,

This thread reminds me that all of you should not feel quite so guilty, as we have a sign in our shop that reads:

"The only difference between men and boys, is the price of their toys - however, he with the most toys - wins!!!"

While that sign makes all the wive that come hopping in a custom rod shop - smile, they frown when the read the one below:

"If people really concentrated on the important things in life - there would be a shortage of fishing rods!!!"

Cheers from sunny Africa,

Jeri

You should make yourself a man cave and neatly order your rods and reels  :). The closet won't do well :).

Me too. Three on the rods and two at the top and two on the bottom of the table. I might see another but I'm not sure. Bob

Thanks everyone for all comments. some are LOL
To clear up some of the confusion. I have those large yellow and grey hooks from Ho'me De'Pot on the ceiling of my closet. Some hold up to three rod and reels. Yes it is a large closet. All the rods on the table have reels on them and I gently laid other reels on top. The process took awhile. Only a couple of rods leaning on the glass don't have reels. The reels on the right side of the table are orginal and most have their boxes and are like or are new condition. Because I have spent many hours on the other reels they all pretty much look like new even though I have used some many many years. A couple of spinners have a couple of chips from being used. None have rust. When I put them all away after my picture the biggest problems were which cover went with which reel because I don't have covers for all and use socks on many. Then it was By Gosh which hanger did they go on because some only fit one hanger one way. I had to use a 6 foot step ladder to get the pic.
