has anyone used this reel im looking at getting one looking for some real world info
never had one apart, but had horrible experiences with earlier models.
i bought one 2 years ago been using it from a pier and beach for midsized shark. keep in mind i only get to use it 3 weeks out of the year when i am on vacation so it doesn't have a ton of hours on it. about the only thing that i'm against with this reel is it's definitely a cast aluminum frame not forged.

yea i was looking at it for a middle grounds trip as a trolling reel. there priced right after that i would have very little use for it because most of the reels we use for trolling are 20 and 15 solterra. the guy from the boat said a tld 25 would be as small as he would go because of the larger baits we would be trolling
