Hello Forum,
I have a Curado 300EJ and don't always need to use the POWER handle. I'd like to use a double paddle handle and was wondering, could I use a handle from a Calcutta 300 or 400, or anything else. I bought these handles from Bass Pro Shops and the hole is TOO BIG. I've been told that the Curado 300E fits, which is pretty obvious, just want other options. Thanks!
i'll see if i can get some help!
The 200DHSV paddle handle may fit, try calling Shimano
A Calcutta 400TE handle will fit ABU 5xxx/6xxx reels but I'm not sure about a Curado. I have to go to my shop today to work on Daiwa drag washers (through a semi bad snow storm and packed snow/ice covered road but it's not that far) and I'll look.
I have some new double paddle handles from Okuma convectors that I think will fit. Send a PM with your shipping info and I'll send you one to try. They are about 3 3/8" center to center on the handles if that will work for you. - Jimmer
Okay fellas, after hours of research, I may or may not have an option. I found on a Musky Blog, a shop that may have an option for double paddle handles for the Curado 300EJ as well as other reels. Interestingly, many other fishermen are wanting to do the same thing with their 300EJ's, but there aren't many options for this reel. I've owned this reel for over a year and have only used it a few times, because the power handle feels unbalanced to me. I guess I've been spoiled by my other reels, single or double paddle, that don't feel "wobbly". Thanks for your replies. Tight lines!
The Curado in the shop is a 200, glad you got an answer.
