Title: Removing bearing shields?
Post by: Kayaker on January 24, 2013, 09:30:16 PM
I cant figure out a way to pop these out without damaging the bearing.  I saw Alans tutorial on the sealine 30, and it goes from shielded bearing to unshielded, no in between instructions.

Any suggestions?

Thanks for the link, I used sear function and that one didnt come up.  I ended up using an exacto knife to pop them off.

Thanks again!

I use a Dental Pick.  After you do this you can't put them back together.

Fish hooks.....
From 8/0 Circle hooks to small drop shot hooks...
Work great for me..    ;D

I have a plethora of picks, Awls and exacto knives, but the hooks work best in most cases..
