Title: Spinning reel washers
Post by: spes on January 27, 2013, 02:20:25 AM
Hello,
Any suggestions to get cf drag washers for my spinning reels?

Okuma:
Epixor EF 80

Daiwa:
ECP6000 / Emcast® Plus

I asked Dawn awhile back and she said she didn't have them.

Any posts on cutting your own?

Spes, take the washers out of your reel. With a set of calipers measure the OD, ID and thickness. Match them up with washers from penn or smoothdrag. They don't have to be exact. You can open up the ID with a drill bit or dremel. I usually use a step drill. If the OD is too large you can sandwitch them between a couple of metal washers and grind them to size. Alan uses a punch set to punch out his washers. If they arent exactly the right size they still will work as long as they fit. HTH Bob
