Title: Penn Squall 15 - Max Drag
Post by: Mardar1 on February 03, 2013, 07:16:07 PM
Few Questions
1. HT 100 set up from the factory ? Is it Low - Med - High?
2. What does this do in the drag system ,  low-  three steel and three fiber? Is it smoother or more drag?
3. Anyone taken this thing apart , any comments?

I just looks at Parts list , drag system as per - a appears as High or every other steel - fiber.
My question  I assume low is better for bigger fish like sharks and bull reds?

it should be set at the "max" configuration from the factory.  i'm not sure why someone at penn thought that a versadrag system would be good.  why would someone want to decrease their drag range.

Thanks for the answer on the Drag system, Ialso looked at the Tutorial for the Penn 525 and I have taken the sides off the my Squall 15 and it look petty much the same. So I will move with taking out the shaft bearing and re lube that with a lighter oil. Bryan also answered my message and said to use TSI . What that kind oil and where you get it?
