Title: Avet JX
Post by: Reelz on March 20, 2013, 10:27:26 PM
Hi, I have a avet jx 4.6.1 ratio and would like to make it a 6.0.1 ratio. I called them and they said I would need main gear, pinion gear and brake disk. My question is why would I need a new brake disk, they look the same to me? Can someone confirm this. I just want to make sure before ordering.

Thanks

The pinion gear that goes into the pressure plate is smaller in the 6:0 vs the 4.6:1. Therefore, you will need the pressure plate as well.

Ok now they told me that I would also need to replace the drag washer on it. The drag washer I have on right now almost covers the entire spool assembly, I don't know if its even necessary to purchase a new one. Might be even smaller. What do you guys think.

maybe just being thorough.  if the carbon fiber drag washer you have is fine, stick with it.
