Hi guys, just got the above reel but noticed a slight click on retrieve is this normal or is there a fault ?

Gidday, this is not normal mine is pretty much silent. I do have a Cedros 10 that does this sometimes I have not been able to find out why, so far is has not caused any problems. If you are not happy contact Okuma their after sales service is very good or the agent you purchased it from.

I had this problem after reassembling my Mak 50W the first time.
I found that it was a loose silent spring.
The radial tension of the spring onto the bushing was not tight enough so it was slipping. The pawl (dog) was hitting the ratchet as it wasn't pulling back properly.
I just used some pliers to tighten the circular portion of the silent spring.
