Title: Annual trip to Southern Oman
Post by: Clem on April 08, 2013, 07:15:42 AM
Hey Guys,

Heading to Southern Oman (Hallaniyat Islands) on Friday for a 10 day fishing trip..

Usually try to get down there twice a year but decided to combine the trips this year and have a real go at some monster fish. We will be popping mostly but have decided to include some jigging and for the first time (in this location) try some dead and live baiting.

I'm fairly confident that live baits will work well down there, I grew up using fresh bait so quite keen to see what they can produce. We will be staying on the Island which is about 1.5 hrs from the mainland – this will allow us to be in the zone within 10mins or so each morning. Hopefully we will get on to some good fish as the water is starting to get warmer...report to follow  :)
