Title: Torium Drag Springs
Post by: MrAC1980 on April 11, 2013, 08:45:42 PM
Hello I'm replacing the drag springs in my Torium 16 and 20 because I can't get more than 6lbs of drag out of them and they look almost flat.  Shimano is currently out of the 9L springs.  Was wondering, are the two springs really that different?  Can I just use two 9H springs?  Thanks.

hi mrac1980
if you get stuck
you can put a ball bearing in the
centre of the washer and give it a whack .
just bend it back
in a clear plastic bag
cheers

any chance that you have spectra that is slipping on the spool?

Thanks, these two reels are heavily used and filled with mono so no chance of anything slipping.  I'm thinking two 9H springs may be better then trying to bend them back...
