Title: Tib frame for 114h
Post by: basto on May 23, 2013, 09:46:47 PM
I am putting a Tiburon frame on my 6/0. Do I need to buy longer screws in place of the old  shorter stand screws?
Thanks.

Hi Basto, Tiburon says its not neccissery but I would. The shorter screws will be easy to strip in the aluminum. Just don't get the middle bottom one to long because it might interfere with the clamp stud.    Rudy

I agree with Rudy. You can use the screws you have........but. I went with longer ones greased.

A friend of mine just showed me a solid frame and sideplate for the 114H similar to the traditional ProGear Reels.  As soon as I can get my hands on one, I'll post some pics.  I think he wants $250ish for a complete reel.  I want to see if he is willing to sell just the frames and sideplates.

I would like to see that Bryan.  When you say like a Progear, you mean the frame and the none handle side plate are all one piece ??  I hope you are able to post pics.
