Title: Roller clutch assembly on Stella
Post by: the_clairvoyant on June 09, 2013, 05:17:08 AM
Should roller clutch assembly be greased? I've heard that it may slip if greased

G'day and welcome CV,
Never grease the A/R bearing (aka 'roller clutch').
Light oil only.
All the best, Justin

If you look closely at a roller (One way Bearing) you will see that it works by moving the rollers into or away from the main shaft.....

I dont think the grease it so slippery that is causes slippage..
BUT it keeps the rollers from moving as they have to & clamp the main shaft...

Good cleaning & Light oil only!!!!!!!!!!!!
