Title: Ambassadeur 6500C3CT MAG
Post by: ncstolat1 on June 12, 2013, 12:42:28 AM
Somebody gave me this reel in parts, completely disassembled.  Right side put back together no problem.  Left Side is a problem.  There are two metal clips that I have no clue where they fit.  Schematics from Mikes Reel Repair don't really show placement.  One is long about 1 1/2 inches with one squared bent end and a hole in it.  The other is small and has a major bend over in the middle.  I can get part numbers if that helps.  Anybody have a clue where they go?

G'day Capt,
Are you're referring to #23506 and #25222?
This schematic may be of some use:
Let us know how you get on.
Good luck, Justin

Okay thanks Justin. Actually it's part 23506, where is it placed.  I understand the other longer part.

Hi Paul,

This should help you out. The model will differ but the mag unit reassembly will be exactly the same.

Notice at the base of the black magnet housing plate (part# 23501) there is a slot where the
spring (part# 23506) is positioned into. The below couple of pics will show you the correct position.

When you have correctly positioned the parts, on replacing the right side plate you will need to align the
longer armed spring (part# 25222) so it can engage with the track (part# 23523) operated by the slidey adjuster.
You'll need to toggle the slidey for both to nestle together and sit flush. Hold the side plate down and replace
a screw then check to see if the magnet housing is operating via proximity.
See below video  ;)
