Title: Top shot
Post by: Mikeflorian on June 12, 2013, 08:58:58 PM
I am interested in top shot set up's. I just have questions
1.  In a bait feeder rig for bottom fishing what do you use to stop the weight from traveling to the hook. I currently use swivels and beads.Actually I think this might answer all my questions!

Anything that will stop the weight at a certain spot on the line. The bead stops the weight & to stop the bead use a knot, swivel, solid ring, split ring,or anything to stop the weight where you want it. Even a button off your shirt will work with a knot below it in a pinch.

For stealth, I cut a piece of mono or fluoro and tie it on to the leader where you want your stopper with a uni and pull it real tight so it wont slip and trim it up. Just has to be big enough to stop the sinker. Lots of other non stealthy options.

Thank you I just see how top shot is stronger than 2 or 3 knotS with swivels and beads and did not how to get the sinker to slide
