Title: Seized Bail Arm Roller Bearing on Spinfisher
Post by: exp2000 on July 09, 2013, 01:43:01 PM
Just wondered how you guys would tackle this problem: Flush mounted bail arm roller bearing seized onto it's shaft.

I got some heat onto it and some forceps but I got lucky.

It was recessed inside a surrounding stainless steel collar which allowed me to apply some leverage with opposing jewelers screwdrivers once a gap finally appeared between the bearing and the flush surface.

It took some time and was not what you would call a pretty solution.

Anyone got a better idea?

Sounds like you did what I would probably do.
