Title: Penn Delmar 285, dog spring ?
Post by: haydenfox!#$ on July 15, 2013, 07:40:35 PM
While taking the reel apart the spring jumped out before I could see how it fits. I did a search and found this http://alantani.com/index.php?topic=44.0  but does it just go in that space? Does it not attach to anything? Thanks

As I recall on the Penn Delmar the dog spring DOES NOT attached to anything. That dog spring is common with many other reels so if you have any "part reels" you may already have one.   I am sure we have all lost one or two.  I know there are a few on my garage floor and you would think I would find one once in awhile.  I have only found one and I sweep out my garage once or twice a week.

Sorry, I did not read your post very well.  When my dog springs "jumps out" I normally lose them to the garage floor.
