I would like to do a complete maintenance overhaul of an old eon 3600.One thing I need to replace is the brakes(white plastic tabs in the spool.) Any tutorials around?
Have you had one that has last so long as to need an overhaul?
i've never worked on one, bit i found this. i will rummage around and see if i can find a schematic.

Mine lasted a week. The furthest casting reel I've ever owned. But the levelwind refused to re engage with any reliability. A friend who bought one at the same time bothered to attempt disassembly but quickly gave up staying it was the most complex reel he had ever seen. Abu quickly took them back and refused to repair or replace them. They offered us any other reel instead without further explanation.
