Does anyone have experience with the Makaira 15II?  How easy is it to maintain?  Does it need any upgrades out of the box?

It's worthless...I would suggest you send it to me for proper disposal per EPA regulations...plus the $5.00 disposal fee ;D

5 year warranty.  fish it straight out of the box and then send it in if you have trouble.
