Title: Cat's Elbow (Cotul Pisicii) 06 August 2013
Post by: Tile on August 17, 2013, 08:23:20 PM
I returned to the same spot with my cousin and her husband for a short fishing trip. We set out our catfish gear and I brought my Banax Tova baitcaster and its rod (a Baracuda Jerk) along with my lures box. The wels cats didn't show interest in our rigs and I got straight to lure fishing with some nice results: 4 small asps, one large one and 3 pikes.

Very nice Tile, that place looks sweet. I had to look up Asp and I'm European ;D.
Thanks for sharing.

I have to say that fishing with a baitcasting combo is much more exciting than using spinners because it keeps me on edge.

And it is. There is an underwater drop-off that allows fishing for wels catfish and a shallow bed that is preferred by pikes and asps. Maybe next time I will catch a big welsie.
