If it's "jdltreasures1" I would think long and hard about buying anything.  They mislabel parts and argue with you when you try to get the part you paid for, even with the Penn part number clearly visible.  It's too bad, he has a lot of hard to find parts but at a premium price.

Here's a 349 AR dog with a 500 dog spring sold as a "set" for $5.95.  If anyone is looking for 349 dogs I can make another run and I sell new SS ones for $3.00 ea.

He will take way less than he lists them for. I've offered about half his listing price and had him take it

I have never had a problem with him. I have bought dozens of Newell Parts so far.

I usually offer 50% of his asking prices.

on Penn parts and newell parts, around 50% of his asking, on others, like shimano, it's hard to get parts at a decent price.

I've bought from him. I was sent a steel gear advertised as for a 113h. It was smaller than a 113h gear. When I contacted him he argued that it came out of a 113h. He told me to keep it and sent a bronze gear. My only other experience was similar. I bought a 9500ss main gear from him because the picture he used was a brass gear. When it came in it was the alloy gear. I contacted him and he changed his picture. I ended up keeping the gear because it was easier than arguing about it. I won't buy from him now.

he has a pro gear handle for jigmaster listed at $35.00. My only question is what's a good price to pay for one of does handles? Its used but looks very nice

This is just my opinion...

I wouldn't do it.  I've replaced a couple of my jigmaster handles with the penn power handle.  It is made for a jigmaster, it has three mounting holes to choose from, and it has the knob of a 113 4/0 reel.  It costed me $21.00 brand new at a local fishing supply store.  You might want to take a look into this same power handle made by Penn....you might change your mind.  :)

I've ordered a couple parts from him. Mainly just senator stuff, not gears. I haven't had a problem thus far. Hate to hear that, especially from stand up guys Like Lee and Bob. The whole fleabay thing can be good or bad. You have to be careful.

I don't like to hear that, but I must say that I've also purchased a few things from him and everything went smooth.
I  had a couple of conversations with him and invited him to visit us, with the hope that he would give us a good discount. He said that he would check us out, but haven't heard anything yet. This went on about a month ago. :-\

I hope it works out for you Turboal. ;D
The fact that Sal has spoken to him is kind of Scary considering Lee's outlook on him. I know Lee and Sal are tight. I hate to Blackball this guy. >:(

I told Lee I don't think he is dishonest. I think he buys reels and if they don't sell he parts them out. I think he has a Chum Lee taking them apart and labeling them.  ;)  Bob
I don't know how accurate his pics are. He had a steel gear picture that if you looked it had a tooth or two broken off.

I told Lee I don't think he is dishonest.

Far from dishonest, he just does not know as much about reels as he thinks he does and was a PIA to deal with.

Well,
I stand corrected! >:( I just got a stand for a 116A from him, and its a 12/0 stand. We will see how this goes. I have a very old 12/0 with the counterbalanced handle and a warped three piece spool. I have 116A stainless posts and a nice chrome spool. All I need is this stand to make it into a 10/0.

He/She does not seem to comprehend the difference between a 113 and a 113H or in your case a 116A (10/0) and 116L (12/0).  I bid on and paid for a 40-113H (the small old style non handle side bearing)  and was sent a nasty looking 40-60...I have several better ones in my scrap bucket.  When I told him/her about it he/she argued that they were the same part.  After several e-mails he/she finally refunded my money and told me to stuff the part.

They have a lot of hard to find reel parts, I hope they learn how to properly ID them.

Let us know how it goes.

Chum Lee strikes again!
I only gave 8 bucks for the stand + 5 shipping. I'm not going to argue with him about it.
I really wanted to put that reel together today and this part is hard to find without buying a whole reel.
I'll let you know what happens. ;D

Good luck! He will finally refund the money. You may have to ship it back and argue a while with him. When he sent the alloy 9500ss gear I asked him if I had ordered the tapered pinion for the brass gear he had pictured, Would I have gotten the straight pinion used with the alloy gear? He said I have both. He never said which he would have sent. I've finally learned.   Bob

Too bad, he/she is setting on a gold mine of hard to find older Penn parts.

Well,
It looks like he wants to argue. >:( He says they take their reels apart one at a time and if it was advertised as a 116A, Its for a 116A. He also asked for a part number. This stand is so corroded, there is no part number visible. I couldn't find one on my other 10/0's either. I think this is why he asked.
So. I sent him this picture.
