what aluminum spool do I need to make this a narrow real ??? I have a small one but it looks too small and the shaft length is different.

You will need a 506 spool. I do not believe they are all that common.

Maybe you can find a Tiburon P21S-HS that would work.

I did this conversion a few years ago, penn 506HS stand, spacer bars and spool is all you need. Call Dan at Wichester Bay, he is reely gone on ebay and internet, great guy!

what reel dose this spool fit? are the 506 and the 501 the same width?

Yes, they both use the 30-49 stand and 37A-506 spacer bars.

is this spool a 501? it has the short shaft.dose not fit my 505.

501= 16.5mm
505= 18.5mm

is the 99 the same width as the 501 506.I have a set of bars, seat and clamp but i do not know what they r for.they r a bit wider thene the spool in the pics.more narrow thene the standerd 505.

The 99 is half way between the 500 (505) and 501 (506)

My Accurate "99" frame is 2.125" wide and the spool is 2.210"
