Title: Anybody know pinion material for Pro Gear 255/251 5;1 gears?

Anybody know what material they used for their pinions for 5:1 gears?  I noticed the main gear tetth wore pretty good in this reel from years of heavy use- pinion still looks perfect.

I was wondering what grade of stainless.  In Penn 506/505 I have seen- when gears are worn the pinion looks hammered too. I am wondering if the pro gear pinion is a better grade of steel?

Most tackle manufacturers uses 303 stainless steel material.
