Title: Penn Senator 113h - LH to RH?
Post by: Brian F. on September 27, 2013, 01:17:40 AM
What would be involved with converting a left handed 113H to right handed? I see that the schematics for a LH Senator lists a separate LH part number for the bridge sleeve, main and pinion gears and even the star. But a friend told me that I only really need to change the bridge sleeve and move the dog to the opposite side of the plate. Really don't want to invest in a lot of extra parts and may just try to swap it for a RH reel if that's needed.

Ah, ok, read another thread which confirmed all parts needed.

The gears and I think the star are different too.

Might be better to trade the reel for a right handed reel. What is the condition?

It's pretty nice...but it's got a Broadbill kit on it that I'd like to keep :)

Trade the handle side sideplate.

Yup, thanks, good idea. It's an older external drag access model. Will try to get a photo up some time soon if anyone's interested.
