Title: Shimano TR-200G broke level line nut
Post by: ThunderToad on October 08, 2013, 04:40:02 AM
I was fishing ocean salmon last week and landed a dandy king. Went to reset my line and noticed it was very high sided on the reel spool. Letting line out I noticed that the whatchamajigger that levels the was not moving side to as it should, nor did it when in gear retrieving. Further inspection revealed the nut that attaches the whatchamajigger is plastic and is badly cracked like the Liberty Bell. What if anything can be done? Is this part still around? While I'm at it is there any way to re-gear this agonizingly slow speed reel to something faster? Thanks in advance for any advice you have.

Eric

Part is still available. Pull the schematics from shimano and locate the part then call shimano. They may even send it to you for free.
