Fitted a custom handle grip & line roller upgrade kit today. Looking forward to getting back on the water & trying it out on snapper....

Good looking reel! Do these Baitrunners have a freespool like a conventional reel?
I need to pick one up for baitfishing in the surf.

Just curious, where do you find line roller upgrade kits for the older style baitrunners?

Hi Guys,

See link for line roller kit, free spool sorta the baitrunner lever disengages main drag so the fish can pickup the bait & run you can adjust tension on rear drag at the back of the reel for this.

Carbontex washers from smooth drag arrived yesterday, have just fitted them lubricated with Inox MX6 grease. Roll on summer.....

Hey Shark Hunter, the Baitrunners i've used have three settings, set by the lever at the back of the reel. In gear, clicker with freespool, and freespool. They're neat reels, I'd totally recommend them.
