Title: Converted a 140L-LH to a 146, but I have a problem
Post by: kmstorm64 on October 10, 2013, 08:12:10 PM
I went through and upgraded the drags to HT-100's, SS Gear Sleeve, newell bars and Seat and a Power Handle.  After reassembling hte issue I have is the Eccentric Lever after a few cranks wants pop into the free spool position.  Any idea what I assembled wrong. Also the Dog Spring in the Left Hand models should be band by the UN as form of cruel and unusual punishment by the Geneva convention.

Are you sure the eccentric lever isn't installed backwards? It is easy to do.

The end of the lever need to be facing the reel like this. Not out.

One option is the yoke and eccentric might be interacting in a naughty way. If you look you might see undesired wear marks.

As an aside, the UN should never do anything, least of wich is regulate fishing reels. ;D
