Title: CONVERT SL0SH TO SLXSHV?
Post by: LTM on October 18, 2013, 06:43:14 PM
Guys/Gals,

Can I convert my SL0SH reel to a SLXSHV? I know the spools are different, anything else I'll need to change to convert?

I am not certain that the spool cross pin of the V will work with the SLOSH. I have never tried it but looking at the pin and the spool shaft, they look considerably different. What are you trying to get out of this conversion?

What I would like to achieve is a better casting (greater free-spool) reel, with a minimum changing  of parts.

I think your best bet is to buy an SHV and go from there. There was a thread on here about combining the two, maybe you'll be the guy who gets it done.
